Cars, cars, and more cars......
So, you might recall that about a year ago, I wrote about the soap opera that is my auto ownership situation. I wrote about the fact that I own two cars. Well, today I own three cars.
I don't intend to own three cars for long. I bought a car today, and am hoping to sell the other two real soon. So, I'll go from owning two cars to owning three cars to owning one car. LOL!!
This past week the transmission on my little blue hatchback all but died (I can't go very fast...), and the SUV required some expensive repairs that I really didn't want to pay for (but I did). I don't really like driving that SUV, and have been planning to sell it soon anyway.
When I was in Europe two summers ago I noticed that everyone was driving a very, very small car. Those real fuel efficient cars, you know? Well, a few months after that, I saw a special on the news about these small cars and the fact that they'll be coming to the U.S. soon because of the rising gas prices. They make one that is so short that you can pull straight (head on or back up) into a spot that other people would have to parallel park. The tiny cars are also not very expensive.
There aren't many of these cars available in the U.S. yet ... but I have one! I got a 2007 Toyota Yaris. It's a cute little car. Just about the same color as my little hatchback. Here are some pics that I took this evening.
