Interludes

You may remember that, back in February, I wrote about the departure of the Senior Pastor at our church, Dr. Michael J. Easley. He has gone on to become the president of Moody Bible Institute. And, as tends to happen in these situations, he has published his first book. I picked up a copy of it this morning. I am looking forward to reading it. It's a book about prayer, called Interludes. Amazon says that it's not out yet, but apparently it is, because I saw stacks of them at the bookstore. Michael always said that if you hold a conference on prayer or a prayer meeting, the only people who will attend are the little old ladies who probably know more about prayer than anyone who might be teaching the seminar. :-)

I'll update you on the book as I read through it. The first few pages look wonderful.

Mahna Mahna

I will forego making comments about the obvious (hurricane related national events). Instead, I will point you out to some fun, time-wasting (but worth it) websites.

  • Mahna Mahna - my favorite! I sing this to my students sometimes ... and one of them sent me this link. Enjoy! :-)
  • Create your own kaleidoscope - I could sit and play with this one for hours!!
  • ArtPad - if you don't like kaleidoscopes, you can make a painting and then replay the steps you took to paint it.
  • Toroidia - yeah, for the math nerds like me...

    Enjoy!! :-)
