June 27, 2001 - Buffalo,
NY
Yup ... the hometown.
It's funny how we always love our hometown. My friends frequently
take me on a ride on their boat ... we cruise the Niagara River as well
as the Eastern end of Lake Erie. Here are some shots from that trip.

This is the awesome skyline of Buffalo, NY. The domed building almost at the center of the picture is city hall. It's a lovely skyline at night as well. We used to bring the boats down here on July 4th where they would shoot off fireworks over the park along the waterfront. |

This is the Peace
Bridge, which connects Buffalo, NY with Fort Erie, Ontario. If you
look closely, you can see the Canadian and American flags in the middle
of the bridge, marking the international border. (I do believe that
I was in Canada when I took this picture.)

This is the "Skyway"
... one of the main commuter routes into the city from the southern suburbs.
On windy winter days this route is often shut down ... for obvious reasons.
