August 1 - Walt Disney's California Adventure

California's DisneyLand recently added a new park (akin to Florida's DisneyWorld adding MGM, Epcot, and the Animal Kingdom) called California Adventure.  It was awesome.  The park honored the history of California as well as contemporary California.  They did a fabulous job!  I'm also not much of an amusement park person (remember that I'm not much of an aquarium person either, but I loved the aquarium in Oregon).  Well, this was an amusement park that I liked a lot.  (Maybe not as much as the DisneyWorld parks in Florida).  We had a really nice time (went with my cousins).  I didn't ride any rides (that's what I really don't like about amusement parks), but saw lots of shows and other displays and Disney specialties.

	There's really a ride inside of that orange!  (It's the swing ride.)  Cool, huh!?
The next two pictures are of the Mickey roller coaster ... if you look closely, you can see the cars going through a loop in the middle circle of Mickey's head.  :-D
	The man on the right is my cousin, Mike.  Next to him is Pom (his wife)'s cousin from Thailand, Tony.  Tony is a pilot for a Thai airline.  He was in town for a few days at the same time I was.  Needless to remind you that I didn't go on any free-fall ride!!!!
This is a huge series of murals that I really liked a lot.  It was hard to get a good picture of them, so you'll just have to go and see for yourself!  :-)
