Redskins Game
Okay - this is a picture of my friend, DC, when he sang in our church's Easter cantata last spring. Yes, his name is honestly DC Washington. No joke. Get over it. Because he can SING. Like you've never heard before. He's some kind of systems analyst by day (what does that mean!?), but he SINGS in his free time. SOOOOooo ... the Washington Redskins got ahold of his name a few months ago, and signed him up to sing the national anthem at today's home Redskins game against the Seattle Seahawks. 
So, of course, I got my friend Nancy, and we went to hear DC, and then stayed for the rest of the FABULOUS game. I love NFL games, and went to several while living in Buffalo, and even went to one when I visited my cousins in Charlotte, NC. But I never thought I'd get to a Skins game ... yet the tickets were surprisingly easy to get. We had a fabulous time. The Skins won in overtime. And DC SANG the National Anthem like you've NEVER heard it sung. In fact, there was an inadvertant military fighter-jet flyover during the national anthem that seemed like it had totally been planned. What a fabulous day!!!!
